As I sit down to write this today I am finding myself wanting to just grab hold of my children and never let them go. We have all heard by now of the horrific theater shooting in Colorado. My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families. When incidents like this occur, it is a reminder to us all how precious life is each and every day.

I have discovered that my kids enjoy playing games, and if I can sneak in a "learning game" that makes it all the better. Of course, I love that they promote reading to your kids on their site as well. I love to read to my girls. My husband and I began reading to them when they were in my belly and we haven't stopped since. Youcanteach.com gives parents all the tools they need to help their children learn at home.
