I overheard a conversation between Marianna and Caroline today that was funny, heart warming and interesting all at once. Marianna was telling Caroline about the progression of schools they will attend. As Marianna got into high school and college, Caroline started to become upset. Marianna told Caroline she will go to college then her job will be to find someone she wants to marry!
How did we go from 1st grade to getting married :-)
Caroline almost hit the roof. She started crying and saying she wants to stay at home with Mama and Dada and doesn't want to ever leave. Yes!!! At least for now, she doesn't want to leave lol. I know in thirteen years or so I will be saying something totally different. No really, I think about how my parents must have felt when my brother and I went off to college or when we both moved away from home. I cannot imagine my girls being far away. I don't want to even think of that right now. I will stick with baby dolls and dress up for as long as it will last.
Dress up is certainly a big deal in our household. Even Sofia will put on a dress up outfit. Usually it is one that her sisters already has on. Boy, does that 2 year old have a strong personality! Maybe it comes with being the third child, I don't know. She stands up and most times stands on and over her sisters. She will make her voice heard for sure :-)
I just love watching them play dress up. It reminds me of when I was little. I too loved becoming someone totally different through play. It's amazing to watch their creativity and imagination go wild. Maybe one of them will take on drama class? Either way, it is so fun and so nice to know they really do want to stay little girls...even if it's only for a little while!
We've had a really nice visit with our family this week. Time always goes too fast. It is hard being so far from everyone. We enjoy when they visit and the girls absolutely love seeing them.
Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the thinks you can think up if only you try!
