This morning at breakfast I was explaining to Caroline that she was having an icecream party for her last day of preschool. Sofia looked at me and said, "what...ice cream?" It was hysterical and Caroline and I were cracking up. Sofia has really begun putting words together and beginning to form sentences. That means she is growing up. It is very bittersweet for me. She is my baby. Isn't she supposed to stay little forever?
We spent a pleasant late afternoon and early evening with friends at the pool. The kids just love swimming and never want to leave. Friday nights at the pool are so fun, everyone brings dinner and hangs out. The kids were jumping off of Daddy's shoulders and smiling from ear to ear. This is what summer is all about!!!
I hope everyone has a great Memorial Day weekend. We are spending it with friends old and new...can't wait.
I will be honoring and remembering all our Vets this Memorial Day, especially my Dad. My hero. I love you and miss you every day.
I had a hard time deciding, so today I share two quotes:
A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself. ~Joseph Campbell
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. ~From a headstone in Ireland
Hi I'm Jen, married to my best friend for 15 1/2 years and a Mom to 3 beautiful, energetic girls. This blog is about life, learning to live with Grace and Girls Raised In The South (GRITS).
