Well, we are officially into the swing of school. As the kids start their second full week of school, my youngest began preschool today. It's a few hours a week I get to myself and I think I am going to like it =)
Most of my time is going to be taken up by volunteering in my two older girls' classrooms. When I have a few minutes or an hour to myself I am going to take advantage of it.
This morning on the way to school, my youngest told me she was nervous. She is familiar with the school because her older sister attended there as well. Even still, she had the first day jitters. She asked me if she would make friends. I was holding up pretty well until then. My eyes teared up and I assured her she would most definitely make friends. Then it struck me...that Mommy guilt. Was I rushing her? Maybe she should wait to next year to go? As we pulled into the car drop off lane, she was excited. She hopped right out of the car and didn't even look behind her. My husband and I watched her walk in and she didn't have a care in the world. YES! we made the right decision. I look forward to hearing how her first day went.
I wanted to go to the gym after dropping her off and suddenly it dawned on me....I am kidless. I have the freedom to go do whatever I want!!! So, off to the beach I went. I decided to do my walking on the sand instead of the treadmill. What an awesome decision that was. It was a beautiful morning on the water and the sun was shining bright.
Here are a few pictures I snapped along the way....it doesn't get much better than this. Happy Wednesday y'all
Oh and yes that is a shark in that last picture. Apparently a small one, but a shark nonetheless. YIKES
