Last night was exactly what I needed. Isn't it awesome when you get the chance to recharge. I have been feeling very overwhelmed and stressed lately. Sitting on the beach, watching and listening to the waves was the best medicine. Doesn't the ocean just make you feel so small? Being there reminds me of how beautiful our world is. I could sit and watch the waves for hours.
As I was sitting on the sand I was thinking about how second chances are rare and how grateful we need to be when one comes around. I was thinking about my Mom. She passed away at the young age of 60. She did not get a second chance. She had a severe heart attack. Yes, she could have been in better health so that is what is motivating me to be healthy. I refuse to allow myself to have heart disease. I will break the cycle.
I miss my Mom every single day. I miss her voice, I miss our 3 o'clock pm phone calls to talk about our day, I miss her laugh, her advice, EVERYTHING. So, I am taking this and making it my motivator. I know she is watching me and cheering for me. I will take this, my second chance and make the best of it.
Of all the people I have ever known, those who have pursued their dreams and failed have lived a much more fulfilling life than those who have put their dreams on a shelf for fear of failure.
