The raindrops hit the window all day long
The grass fills with water until it cannot absorb anymore
Mostly grey skies with a peek of sunshine
Trying hard to stay motivated and moving,
Instead of lying comfortably with a book and napping.
This is how I am feeling for the past two days…it has been raining non stop and I am fighting the urge to stay in my pajamas. Our yard is resembling a lake and although I know it will help the grass be green and luscious…right now I just want it to be sunny. I guess if I didn’t have a million things on my to-do list I wouldn’t mind so much. Or maybe, I should just let myself enjoy the rainy weather and let most of my to-do list wait for tomorrow’s sunshine….yes, that sounds better. I am going to embrace the rain and spend the day reading and relaxing….of course until the kiddos get home :)
Let the rain kiss you. Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops. Let the rain sing you a lullaby. ~Langston Hughes
Even the birds are migrating to our lake...oops I mean back yard. These white ibis birds look similar to egrets...they were looking for food I guess.
