It seems like the entire country has endured a long, colder than usual winter. Even here in the South we had "ice" days. Today brings good news though...it's SPRING!!!! Shout it from the rooftops...It's SPRING!!!! For us in South Carolina that means a few short weeks of the most beautiful weather EVER before it becomes scorching hot. So, I will take it and I will love it. I will wear my flip flops with pride :)
Spring has so many meanings other than the awesome weather. It is a season of new beginnings, new growth, and new life. Do you need a new beginning in your life? Is there something that needs changing and you've been waiting for the right time? There is no better day than today. Remember the old saying, "Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today." Sometimes I feel as if I need to repeat that quote non-stop. It can be difficult some days to not procrastinate. I think we need to find balance. There are days we need to get some true R&R (Tuesday was one of those days for me); then there are days when we need to just move it and get it done.
Have you ever wondered why we don't do resolutions in the spring time? I have. I think we should. The weather is certainly more conducive to motivation than the freezing, snowy, cold days of January. So, will you join me? Make a resolution for spring. Look deep down inside and really think about what needs improvement in your life, your schedule, your family.
If you need some motivation, just look out the window and watch the beautiful flowers and colors of spring come alive. It's sure to get you moving!
