Whoa...what was that?

My girls love to dance.  We all do actually.  We enjoy putting on music and having a dance party in our living room.  Even Daddy participates!!!  It's been a while since we've had one.  Well, the other day the girls were dancing and I was observing.  It's so fun to sit back and watch.  At least I thought it was fun until I saw my 7 year old do this move with her behind and hips.  I asked her where she learned to dance like that.  Of course, I'm hearing myself in my head, "please don't tell me something bad."  It turns out she made it up.  At least that is what she wants me to believe.  So, then I had to tell her it wasn't appropriate for a 7 year old blah, blah, blah.  I tried to tell her she can shake and have fun but has to keep it under control.  What is control to a 7 year old?  My 4 year old thinks it's hilarious too.  She will laugh and laugh and of course that is all her older sister needs is an audience.  Then the real moves start happening.  Ahhh...I can't even imagine what the teenage years are going to be like!  I will need to invest in hair dye to cover all my grays :-)

My 2 year old is going through this phase I call "Chipmunk cheeks."  She will take a bite of food and keep it chewed up in her mouth for 30 minutes to an hour.  It is the most disgusting thing I've seen.
I have been pleading with her to chew and swallow.  If you have a 2 year old, you know how that goes.  I might as well be talking to the wall.  The only thing that has worked so far is to bribe her with dessert.  I know, I know...Not the best parenting technique.   Sometimes we have to do what works!

Have a great Monday ya'll.

We're fools whether we dance or not, so we might as well dance. ~ Japanese Proverb

Jennifer, I love your voice! I so enjoyed reading about your grits...I've got southern roots but NEVER hear that before. I may borrow it. I'm your newest follower from Bloggy Moms, and would love a follow back.
Peace and good to you and your grits!

Don't aim for success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally.
